چکیده

The O/O and C/C ratios of carbonate minerals formed by supergene oxidation of Zn–Pb deposits and submarine alteration of ancient slags were studied in order to constrain isotope fractionation factors for smithsonite, cerussite, and phosgenite, and to characterize conditions of nonsulfide ore formation. We present new isotope data of carbonate-hosted ores from the Iglesiente district (Sardinia, Italy) and Vila Ruiva (Portugal), as well as from the silicate-hosted ores of the Broken Hill district, New South Wales (Australia) and Freihung (Germany) and review previously published isotope data. The temperature dependence of oxygen isotope fractionation between Pb and Zn carbonate minerals and water below 240 °C for cerussite and below 100 °C for smithsonite and phosgenite can be expressed as 1000lnαcerussite–water 1⁄4 2:29ð106=T2Þ−3:56 1000lnαsmithsonite–water 1⁄4 3:10ð106=T 2Þ−3:5

The Mississippi Valley Type Pb-Zn ore deposits of northern Semnan could be classified as 1) Eram Series in north-west of Shahmirzad and 2) Shahmirzad Series in south and east of Shahmirzad. The host rocks of these mineralizations are Cretaceous carbonates and fawlts have a major role in controlling hypogene ore formation. Age, mineralogy and structural evidences of both series show a resemblanc...

Gazu prospect area is located about 65Km southeast of Tabas in the southern part of Shotori range. Sub-volcanic intermediate intrusive rocks (Upper Cretaceous?), monzonitic to dioritic in composition, intruded into carbonate rocks of Shotori Formation (Triassic) which are the main source for copper mineralization in Gazu district. Alteration zones associated within the intrusive are: Quartz- ...

Geochemistry of Hydrothermal Alteration Associated with Cenozoic Intrusion-Hosted Cu-Pb-Zn Mineralization at Tavsanlı Area, Kütahya, NW Turkey

The Miocene magmatic intrusion in the Tavşanlı zone of the Kütahya-Bolkardağ Belt (KBB) in the northwestern region of Turkey is represented by the Eğrigöz granitoids. This paper studies the petrology and geochemistry of hydrothermal alterations associated with the vein-type Cu-Pb-Zn mineralization hosted by this pluton, focusing on the determination of the mass gains and losses of chemical comp...

Petrography and geochemistry of carbonate hosted-rock in the Karavangah and Dehno Pb-Zn mines at the north of Kuhbanan, Kerman

The hosted-rocks of the Pb-Zn ore deposits in two mines of Karavangah and Dehno (north of Kuhbanan) contain carbonate rocks of the Shotori Formation (Middle Triassic). The identified carbonate facies consists of limestone and dolomite, but ore bodies mainly occurred in dolomite facies. Petrographic studies show that the dolomites can be divided into four classes including fine crystalline, mediu...
